Process Engineer – H2 Green Steel, Stockholm

H2 Green Steel (H2GS) is looking for a consultant for a year-long assignment as a Process Engineer based in Stockholm, to help them integrate systems and achieve optimal efficiency. H2 Green Steel is revolutionising the global steel industry and committed to reducing CO2 emissions to zero by 2030. This is your chance to be part of an exciting journey!

Purpose, Offer and Benefits

This is a 12-month consulting assignment with an immediate start and the possibility of extension. Consultancy assignments allow you to accumulate expertise within unique project areas and are great if you enjoy variation in your job duties. Your Responsibilities

As a Process Engineer (or System Engineer, as the role is referred to internally) you will work with the side-wide integration of various systems critical to H2 Green Steel operations. Your expertise will ensure the efficient coordination of processes, utility systems and resources across the facility. You will work with preparing mass balances, utility balances and flow diagrams and variable cost calculations that are required to support decisions.

As Process Engineer, you will report to and work closely with the Systems Engineering Lead.

The Bigger Picture

Additional job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare flow diagrams for various utility systems.
  • Prepare mass and energy balances and utility balances.
  • Prepare site-wide isolation philosophy.
  • Carry out variable cost calculations.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to facilitate a fully integrated, optimized design that meets all functional requirements.

Our Expectations

We believe that a suitable candidate for this assignment likely possesses:

  • A masters degree in engineering (chemical/process)
  • At least 3 years experience as a Process Engineer or Chemical Engineer within the field of industrial or plant design 
  • Experience working in an operational process industry (such as refining, hydrogen production, pulp & paper, metal)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (Swedish is not a requirement)

You likely excel in dynamic environments, and possess the ability to navigate without set processes and procedures.
