THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Field Planning and Engineering department is central for planning, implementing and improving of operational processes within FedEx. By working closely with Ground Operations and other related interfacing departments you will play a central role in logistics operations. As a manager in the Field Planning and Engineering at FedEx you´ll help and guide your team of industrial engineers in their daily work. Your main work tasks will include:

You´ll be based at the office in Stockholm, Upplands Väsby. The Planning & Engineering team for the Nordics and Ireland currently has eight members placed in Copenhagen, Dublin, and Stockholm. You will have guidance and support from other managers in the same position placed in Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands and Germany. You will report to Simon the Managing Director, Field P&E, Nordics & Ireland.
WHO ARE YOU?
To be successful as a manager at FedEx you have previous experience from leading and managing a team of professionals. You probably have a degree in engineering, analytics, mathematics, finance or equivalent. It is meriting with a degree or experience in logistics, for you to quickly adjust to FedEx environment and working processes. It´s a merit if you have experience in Excel, SQL or big databases. FedEx´s official language is English and it´s, therefore, a requirement that you have good knowledge in both speech and writing. Knowledge in Swedish or Finnish is a merit but not a requirement.
You need to have good patience and leadership skills to manage the team successfully. With good interpersonal skills you will have the ability to effectively interact and influence with different levels of professionals. Since the role involves many contacts, both in your team, internal and external you´re a good communicator and have the ability to quickly build trust and maintain long-term working relationships. Good organizational awareness and understanding of different decision making processes is helpful to create common grounds in the planning area.
