II-VI in Järfälla, Stockholm, is looking for an Epitaxy Process Engineer for their Wafer fab. This is a great opportunity to gain technical knowledge within Epitaxy (MOVPE) in a complex manufacturing environment and work to secure a well-optimized process for optoelectronic components used in high-end products. As an Epitaxy Process Engineer, you will manage, supervise and optimize complex manufacturing processes. As an Epitaxy Process Engineer, you will be responsible for manufacturing processes. You will provide expertise supporting production efficiency and product quality. To drive new process development and improvement activities will also be a part of the role.
Your Responsibilities
The Bigger Picture
You will become part of a competent team consisting of five Process Engineers and you will report to the Epitaxy Manager. You cooperate with many locally such as operators, maintenance engineers, process integration engineers and process engineers within other fields such as lithography and wet chemistry. You will also cooperate with engineers within epitaxy on our other sites around the world. External contacts with suppliers will also occur.
Substantial part of the work takes place inside the wafer fab clean-room.
Our Expectations
You have a Master of Science or PhD in Physics, Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent. Semiconductor processing experience is preferable, especially in the fields of epitaxy and material characterization. Since you will be a part of an international company, very good knowledge in English, spoken and written, is a requirement for the position. Knowledge in Swedish is an advantage. Since the position requires Swedish on a long-term basis, we expect you to be willing to develop your language skills (if you don´t have full knowledge in Swedish today) to be able to excel in the position.
Personality-wise you are a self-starter. You´re good at taking initiative and assuming responsibility for your work. You are systematic and organized in your way of working.
