Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Device Design Engineer, your main work tasks are:

  • Developing device designs for SiC power MOSFET products
  • Creating TCAD simulation models and structures for MOSFET products and key technologies
  • Evaluate and analyze device performance and fabrication technology, correlating results with TCAD models and simulations.
  • Designing CAD layouts for development and product batches
  • Maintaining and developing device design and modelling tools, software, and licenses (e.g., TCAD Sentaurus, SPICE)
  • Supervising and supporting junior device design engineers
  • Documenting work, progress reporting, and providing instructions, quality, development, and delivery reports
  • Creating intellectual property (patents and trade secrets) related to developed products
  • Preparing presentations for internal and external use

The Bigger Picture

You will be part of a team consisting of other engineers, reporting to the Device Team Manager.
The position is full-time and requires a certain operational proximity to the facility in Kista Stockholm, but free working hours are applied and the possibility to work from home on certain occasions, is possible. For this role there is also the possibility of working at the Coherent office in Germany, in Eching just outside Munich.

Our Expectations

We attach great importance to your personal qualities, but to be relevant for this role it is required that you:

  • Hold a PhD in semiconductors, microelectronics or equivalent.
  • Have over 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Have expertise in semiconductor device design modelling.
  • Possess hands-on experience with TCAD modelling.
  • Have very good knowledge of semiconductor physics.
  • Experience in power semiconductors and SiC technology is advantageous.
